9:00 AM | Keynote Breakfast: Natural Gas and Net Zero: Where do we start?
Click here for details. The path to net zero for a natural gas consumer is complex. Join us for a discussion on (i) what the energy transition might look like for a gas consumer; (ii) bridge products that can be incorporated in gas procurement strategies today—at scale—including carbon offsets, certified natural gas, and renewable natural gas; and (iii) future low carbon energy systems, including hydrogen and CCUS.

11:15 AM | Panel - Case Study: Producer, Utility Buyer and Independent Certifier perspectives on a RSG acquisition arrangement
Click here for details. This panel is composed of experts from a leading producer, a large investor owned utility energy buyer, and a leading independent certifier of responsibly sourced gas (RSG). RSG represents an increasingly significant energy source supporting the path to decarbonization. Sourcing and distributing independently certified RSG involves a number of challenges and complexities beyond natural gas. This panel uses a case study approach to examine structuring and execution of an RSG acquisition arrangement from the perspective of the three key stakeholders across the value chain.

12:30 PM | Gas Buyers’ Panel: The Buck Stops Here. Utility and Industrial End User Perspectives on Energy Transition
Click here for details.Utility and industrial end users typically bring a perspective that is different from other stakeholders across the natural gas value chain. This stems from the fact that these entities existing at the end of chain where gas is ultimately consumed. Gas supply is an absolute requirement either to supply commercial and residential requirements, or as feedstock or process heat for industrial and manufacturing purposes. While these entities are largely left to react to changing market conditions, they are creative negotiators well-versed in structuring commercial arrangements that ensure reliability and predictability. This Panel will offer their unique perspectives on a variety of topical issues, including:
•Current market conditions
•Energy transition adaptation
•Appetite for lower carbon energy product alternatives
•End use customer requirements/preferences
•Preferences for commercial terms with suppliers
•Midstream considerations – preferences, challenges
•Regulatory considerations (utility) – changing landscape
