Perspectives on strategies and infrastructure updates for transporting gas from supply sources to markets on the U.S. Gulf Coast. Discussion of alternatives for transporting feedgas to LNG export terminals, capacity utilization projections and de-bottlenecking plans. Also, includes examination of alternative methods for delivery of natural gas where/when traditional pipelines and distribution systems are unavailable or impractical, leveraging transportation of LNG and CNG.

Infrastructure updates for U.S. Gulf Coast LNG Export Terminals (operational, in-construction, FID approved, planned 2nd wave). Discussion of feedgas supply arrangements, progress in attaching global markets and evolving commercial strategies. Also includes examination of domestic demand competition, and perspectives on end use market considerations.

The world is facing a dual challenge: Demand for energy is increasing at the same time that consumers are asking for lower carbon, cleaner energy. Natural gas is a key part of the solution - in North America and around the world. How can we, as an industry, reinforce positive messages about this abundant and affordable fuel?

Discussion of LNG and natural gas market fundamentals including supply/demand dynamics, recent past performance, inter-basin supply competition, demand competition (domestic and export), evolving flow patterns, domestic and global pricing impacts, policy impacts and future forecasts.

•Storage proximity to liquefaction facilities (response time to changing conditions is key)
•Desire to protect for a liquefaction train trip by contracting for very high injection deliverability (ability to balance their supply load)
•Existing salt domes designed to deliver high withdrawal deliverability
•Resolution of this apparent disconnect is generally stranding storage capacity by offering a disproportionate amount of injection rights or building new “purpose built” caverns
•Lead time on new caverns is 3-4 years
•Trend towards storage for operational balancing vs storage for spread arbitrage

Historical and forecast global energy consumption with a focus on significant US and Australian LNG production facilities. Discussion of various power generation and growth in electric vehicles

-An exploration of the short term demand dynamics which will influence global LNG prices through the next 12-18 months.
-The near term outlook for European gas prices and an explanation of their growing importance for US exporters.

Since the U.S. shale gas revolution took flight back in 2008, domestic gas production has boomed 60%. While the country surely does have rising gas demand, a surplus of gas will be available for export. U.S. LNG will be critical to helping the world meet its rising "dash to gas," where natural gas is the go-to fuel to help lower emissions and backup intermittent wind and solar power. The U.S. is now set to become the largest LNG seller by 2024, and continued bi-partisan support is essential. Simply put, U.S. LNG is a force for good.

The continued emergence of LNG as a global fuel is accelerating the maturation of the once backwater market. Also, a host of opportunities are being presented to domestic producers that will open the door for their molecules to reach the world. We will talk about how LNG is intersecting tomorrow’s decisions by global companies that will affect how gas is distributed and priced. Imagine a domestic gas producer selling gas beyond the horizon and receiving a netback price based on European and Asian formula’s. There are people out “there” right now wanting to buy gas for long-term projects…and we have been advising them. In the very near future, no matter where you produce and market your gas, currently, a good portion of your molecules will, in the very short-term, be frozen and onboard a ship sailing away from the US.
