9:45 AM | Opening Keynote: North American Gas: Going Global
Click here for details.North American gas markets have changed a lot in the last year - domestic supply growth and timing of new pipeline infrastructure remain critical pieces of Southeast gas balances. Increasingly, the size and timing of exports (via MX pipelines and/or LNG liquefaction facilities) will also be important factors in Southeast gas balances. Global gas demand is forecast to grow and U.S. LNG exports are expected to play a key role in meeting that growth; as a result, Southeast gas buyers will need to consider even more variables (including global weather patterns, infrastructure outages, geopolitical risks) in determining their future price outlooks. All of these factors could potentially add even more volatility to an already ever-changing domestic picture, reinforcing the need for a robust risk management program.
